One hundred and twenty golfers participated in 18 holes of scramble golf at Mountain View Golf Club.
The Yukon Hospital Foundation hosted the Ian Tuton Tribute Golf Tournament on Saturday, July 31. Over $66,000 was raised to support our Yukon Hospitals.
“The Golf Tournament at Mountain View Golf Club was a huge success! The weather was perfect. The golf course was in spectacular condition. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped put it together. We couldn’t have done it without you.”
Tournament participants enjoyed a variety of competitions in addition to 18 holes of scramble golf tournament play. Activities included a “Play with one of Ian’s clubs” competition where participants had to play with Ian’s left-handed clubs. A sixty-five-thousand-dollar boat package sponsored by Yukon Yamaha was up for grabs in the hole in one competition. Participants were able to toast Ian and take a photo with a life-sized flat Ian provided by Willow Printers.
“It was such an honour to host the Ian Tuton Tribute Golf Tournament and raise funds for our Yukon Hospitals” said Karen Forward, President of the Yukon Hospital Foundation “We are so lucky to be able to play such an outstanding golf course and work with the incredible staff of Mountain View Golf Club.”
A huge thank you goes out to Nuway Crushing, Pacific Northwest Group, TSL Construction and the many sponsors who helped make the Tribute Golf Tournament an exciting and successful fundraising event.
